My Favourite Manga

Hunter x Hunter

The chimera ant arc is my favourite story told in all of media ever and is something I could easily talk about for hours and hours. Hunter x Hunter showcases my favourite cast in Shonen with uncharacteristic depth in both protagonist and especially antagonist.

Yotsuba

If Yotsuba cannot restore your faith in humanity, I'm not entirely sure what will.

Girls Last Tour

I'm a sucker for slice of life and the post apocalypse and Girls Last Tour encapsulates everything that I find enthralling about the two genres. The wide, sweeping shots and thick atmosphere makes for an immersive and captivating world that makes any discovery interesting. The two protagonists, Chiito and Yuri are consistently endearing with a dynamic that offers us some solace in such a desolate world.

Dorohedoro

Dorohedoro is a rare series that gets everything right. The art is consistently incredible which gives even more depth to the already interesting world, every character is super likeable, distinct and entertaining, and the core mysteries are engaging with perfect pacing for a satisfying conclusion. From the first page to the last Dorohedoro delivers everything that I love about this medium.

Hinamatsuri

Hinamatsuri is an incredibly special manga that I find goes under the radar a lot when it is easily one of the funniest manga ever published. Every single misunderstanding spins a web of connections between the incredible cast of characters that leads to some hilarious moments and incredibly touching moment. Hinamatsuri does everything right and while reading it I am left in complete awe to just how real such an insane world can feel so real.
